Document Checklist for Uttar Pradesh Solar Applications

To avoid administrative delays or application rejections, you must prepare and upload all required documents in the correct formats.

Mandatory Document Checklist

Document Name Verification Checkpoint Format & Size Limit
Electricity Bill (Latest) Must be under 3 months old. The name must match Aadhaar exactly. PDF, under 500 KB
Aadhaar Card Used for identity validation. Spelling must match the electricity bill. PDF/JPEG, under 500 KB
PAN Card Used for verification on National Portal. PDF/JPEG, under 200 KB
Land Proof / Registry Copy of registry, tax receipt, or khatauni to verify property ownership. PDF, under 1 MB
Bank Passbook / Cheque Account name must match the applicant name. Used for DBT transfer. JPEG, under 300 KB

Important Guidelines for Tenanted or Shared Roofs

If you are installing solar panels on a property under joint ownership or a shared multi-family building, you must upload a **No Objection Certificate (NOC)** signed by all co-owners. If the property is rented, the tenant must obtain a lease NOC from the owner, and the application must be filed under the owner's name (matching the utility bill).

Handling Name Mismatch Issues

If the name on your Aadhaar has spelling differences compared to your UPPCL bill, you must submit a notarized **Affidavit** on stamp paper declaring that both names refer to the same individual. This affidavit must be uploaded under the additional document category on the portal.
