Troubleshooting Solar Delays in Delhi
If your application with BSES or TPDDL stalls, here are the standard resolutions to common problems:
1. Sanctioned Load Mismatch
Problem: Your vendor proposes a 5kW system, but your CA number only has a 3kW sanctioned load. Application rejected.
Solution: Apply for load enhancement via the BSES/TPDDL portal. You must pay the SLD (Security Deposit) for the extra load before re-applying for solar feasibility.
2. RWA/Society NOC Rejection
Problem: The DISCOM inspector notes that you live in a multi-story building and demands a roof rights NOC.
Solution: Obtain a signed letter from the society president confirming you have exclusive rights to the specific roof patch where panels are installed.
3. Net Meter Unavailability
Problem: System is installed, but the DISCOM states they are out of net meters.
Solution: DERC rules permit consumers to procure their own net meters from approved vendors. Purchase an L&T or Secure meter, get it tested at a NABL lab, and provide the test report to the DISCOM engineer to expedite commissioning.
4. GBI Not Reflecting in Bill
Problem: It has been 3 months since commissioning, but GBI credits aren't showing up.
Solution: Ensure your solar generation meter (a secondary meter installed by the DISCOM to track total solar output) is communicating properly with the grid. File a ticket on the DISCOM app for a meter reading check.
